Agniveer Vayu 01/2026 Recruitment:- The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued the formal recruitment notification for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026 under the Agnipath Scheme. The selection is scheduled to start from the year 2025; online applications will begin from 7th January 2025 and end by 27th January 2025. Online screening test will be conducted on 22nd March 2025. Eligibility Criteria For Agniveer Vayu 01/2026 Recruitment

Age Limit

• Must be born between 1st January 2005 and 1st July 2008 (inclusive).
• Maximum age to join is 21 years.

Education Qualifications

• Science Streams: Candidates with 10+2/Intermediate passed in Mathematics, Physics, and English having an aggregate of at least 50% marks, also must have obtained at least 50% marks in English. Candidates with Diploma in Engineering or a Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics can also join.

• Other than Science Subjects: For those candidates who are from non-science streams, the eligibility calls for 10+2/Intermediate with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

Marital Status

Only unmarried candidates can apply for the job. Female candidates must also agree not to become pregnant during the 4-year engagement period.

Selection Process Of Agniveer Vayu 01/2026 Recruitment

The selection will be through various phases:

1. Phase I: Online Test
   • For Science Subjects: 60 minutes duration
   • For Other than Science Subjects: 45 minutes duration
   • Total Duration: 85 minutes

Marking: +1 for correct answers and -0.25 for incorrect answers.

2. Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
   • 1.6 km run: 7 minutes for males and 8 minutes for females
   • Physical exercises including push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.

3. Phase III: Medical Examination
   • Conducted by the Air Force Medical Team in accordance with IAF standards.

4. Adaptability Tests I & II
   • These tests evaluate the candidate’s suitability for IAF operations and the military lifestyle.

Salary and Allowances

Salary of Agniveer Vayu is as below:

• 1st Year – ₹21,000
• 2nd Year – ₹23,100
• 3rd Year – ₹25,550
• 4th Year – ₹28,000

• Other benefits: Agniveer Corpus Fund: Both candidate as well as government will contribute in this.

• Seva Nidhi Package: ₹ 10.04 lakh (without tax)

• Non-contributory Life Insurance: ₹48 lakh
